Unlike Latin Arabic writing comes from RIGHT to LEFT.
There are no capital letters in Arabic.
The Arabic alphabet has
28
characters.
There are 6 characters that
are not connected to the letters following them
– they are referred to as non-related or non-connected letters.
The remaining
22 letters are related to the letters before and the letters that follow them.
Each letter has
four forms depending on the position
– standing alone, at the beginning of the word, in the middle or at the end
Many of Arabic letters are similar in form and writing and to differentiate between them a system of punctuation is used for example simple dots.
